Conclusion: Asian stock markets mostly retreated after US market’s sharp fall. Japan was down by 6.35%, Hong Kong 4.98% and Singapore 3.02%.

But KLCI was resilient and managed to climb near yesterday’s closing level after falling by 10 points. The Index ended at 845.75 lost 2.68 points. The fate of the market still depends on the movement of tonight’s US market. Its support now lies on 835 and resistance 856-860.

Despite of the sharp fall in US market, local sentiment was not heavily affected. This might due to the continuous falling in the past few days whereby number of sellers has been minimized. Total volume was also unnoticeable with only 388 mln.

Meantime, report shows U.S. futures rose and European stocks rebounded.
