Gamuda Bhd's net profit for its second quarter (2Q) ended Jan 31, 2009 fell 45% from a year earlier to RM49.06 million, due to lower contributions from its construction and property divisions. Revenue for the quarter increased by 19% to RM591.73 million from RM495.24 million previously. Basic earnings per share were pared to 2.45 sen from 4.51 sen.
