Malaysian shares may rise today as some investor interest returns with Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak taking formal control of the United Malaysa National Organisation (Umno), the main party in the country’s government, traders said.
“There will be some window-dressing with Umno-linked stocks posting some good gains as these share would be mostly related with construction and development,” said a local brokerage dealer.
She was referring to Malaysian Resources Corp, Scomi Group and property developer UEM Land.
