Sumatec won a RM254.16m contract

Sumatec Resources has won a RM254.16m contract from Renewable Energy Prachin Co for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of a bio-ethanol plant in Thailand. It involves building a 500,000 litres per day bio-ethanol plant complete with a biogas plant, an organic fertiliser plant and a chip making unit. The plant will be completed in 20 months and the contract is expected to contribute positively to Sumatec for the financial years ending December 31 2009 and 2010. (BT)
