Bursa Malaysia Bhd reported net profit of RM35 million in the second quarter ended June 30, or 22% higher than the RM28.64 million posted in the corresponding period last year.
The better performance was mainly due to improved investor sentiment which boosted trading revenue from the securities market.
Revenue rose to RM94.58 million in the second quarter from RM85.67 million a year earlier.
Its earnings per share was higher at 6.7 sen versus 5.5 sen previously.
