KUALA LUMPUR: SAPURACREST PETROLEUM BHD [ ] posted net profit of RM52.36 million in its second quarter ended July 31, 2009, up 63% from RM32.10 million a year ago as activities in the installation of pipelines and facilities (IPF), marine services and operations and maintenance divisions picked up.
Announcing a stronger set of results on Sept 10, it said revenue for the current quarter of RM1.03 billion represented an increase of RM128.4 million or 14.2% from RM903.1 million a year ago.
Profit before taxation increased by 44.3% to RM107.9 million as compared to RM74.7 million a year ago mainly attributable to the IPF.
Revenue rose 14% to RM1 billion from RM903.13 million, while earnings per share were 4.14 sen versus 2.73 sen. It declared three sen dividend per share.
For the first half, net profit rose 48.7% to RM78.02 million from RM52.45 million. Revenue climbed 10% to RM1.74 billion from RM1.58 billion.
