Johor to announce big multi-billion ringgit O&G investment soon (Star)

Johor's plan to transform into a new regional oil and gas (O&G) hub will get another shot in the arm with the announcement of a new multi-billion ringgit investment soon.

Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman declined to divulge more details when asked on the investment and the name of the company as the investor did not want an announcement pre-maturely.

“What I can say is it is a local company with operations all over the world and now coming back to Malaysia to invest in the O&G sector,'' he told a press conference at the opening of the US$100mil Cameron International Malaysia Systems Sdn Bhd (CIMS), a subsea manufacturing plant at the Port of Tanjung Pelepas Free Zone.
