Malaysia Stock Market - Sentiment Index

Asian stock markets mostly fell on Monday as dealers worried that Greece's debt problems were going to infect other parts of Europe. Markets dropped after a warning at the back end of last week from Moody's over Italian banks' creditworthiness, with the ratings agency saying it was mulling downgrades across the sector.

Local sentiment affected by the sharp fall of US market turned bearish today. The Intra-day Oscillator soaked in the red whole day but last minute buying lifted it to finish off-low at -298.64; lost 144.55 when compares with its starting point. The Average recorded a loss of 313.18.

At the end of the day, %K (yellow) of MSCD recorded as -200.85 (-20.42), %D (red) -184.58 (-10.29) and the Histogram -17.66 (+0.35). Both indicators fell slightly and the Histogram printed an almost equal negative bar.

MSCD shows that overall market sentiment is temporarily affected by foreign markets. Sentiment will improve as low-liners will continue to recoup their recent losses.
