Malaysia Stock Market - Sentiment Index

Asian stocks closed positive Tuesday as investor hopes rose after a Greek default appeared less likely due to an agreement by French banks to roll over Greek debt.

Local sentiment was cautiously optimistic with the Intra-day Oscillator lingering in tight range but last minute buying lifted it to finish at day’s high at +446.07; gained 173.77 when compares with its starting point. The Average recorded a gain of 222.68.

At the end of the day, %K (yellow) of MSCD recorded as -135.71 (+65.14), %D (red) -154.39 (+30.18) and the Histogram -10.41 (+7.27). Both indicators surged and about to break the overhead resistance line. The Histogram printed a shorter negative bar.

MSCD shows that overall market sentiment remains cautious though improving. The lime light seems had shifted to blue chips and small caps.

FBMKLCI

FBMKLCI followed regional trend added 7.50 points today and printed a white candle which decisively broke through the all-time barrier, 1,567. Total volume was below one billion but above the 50-day Average. The reversal amidst national political tussle is unexpected. As other indicators didn’t really show any strong signal of reversal, the upswing remains in doubt. But, market base has been duly built.

FBMSCAP rebounded but capped by the 12EMA again. The index has the tendency to test the 20MA but the shrinking volume might not provide enough strength for it.

FBMACE fell and recorded a new low with higher volume today didn’t augur well for the ACE Market. However, the Dragonfly doji indicates there should be another good attempt on stage tomorrow. If fail, then the new support will be today’s low around 4,153.
