C.I. Holdings may seek new ventures (BT)

C.I. Holdings Bhd, which agreed to sell its Permanis Sdn Bhd unit for RM820 million to Asahi Group Holdings Ltd, will either seek new businesses to acquire or distribute cash to shareholders, according to a statement in Kuala Lumpur today.

C.I. will make a one-time gain of RM677.1 million from the sale, the Malaysian company said. -- Bloomberg
