Malaysia Stock Market - Sentiment Index

Asian markets were mostly lower Friday as the cancellation of a U.S. House vote on the debt ceiling undermined investor confidence, with the Australian market falling to a 10-month low.

Local sentiment continued its weaker tone with the Intra-day Oscillator soaked in the red for the whole session to end off low at -284.56; lost 20.40 when compares with its starting point. The Average recorded a loss of 335.66.

At the end of the day, %K(yellow) of MSCD recorded as -233.05 (-18.65), %D(red) -188.63 (-11.77) and the Histogram -18.79 (-6.41). Both indicators slid but %D remains above the support line of the uptrend channel. The Histogram printed yet another longer negative bar.

Overall market sentiment continues to plague by the US debt worries. However, selling was not intensive with nibbling seen on Smallcaps before closing. Tuesday will be the “Day of Verdict” for global equities market.
