Asian shares were sharply lower Friday as renewed concerns the global economy will tip back into recession gripped investors, with exporter stocks in many markets tumbling on concerns about weakening demand.
Local sentiment remained resilient as selling though extensive but not intensive. The Intra-day Oscillator opened deep in the red but only fluctuated in tight range. The Oscillator finished off low at -1,174.65; gained 388.85 when compares with its starting point. The Average recorded a loss of 1,116.80.
At the end of the day, %K(yellow) of MSCD recorded as -418.92 (-126.84), %D(red) -446.27 (-53.66) and the Histogram -48.89 (+19.06).
Both indicators hooked sharply down and %K fell to face %D again. The Histogram printed another shorter negative bar.
Conclusion
Market sentiment lost steam as the world’s leading markets failed to stabilize after last week’s slump. Investor will apply more stern measure in their investment strategies though remain hopeful on government's various stimulus.
