Sentiment Index - Malaysia Stock Market

Constructed and Written by Smartbiz

Local sentiment receded in two consecutive sessions as Asian markets mostly down, Thursday. The Oscillator zigzagged to end off low at -226.29; lost 334.22 when compares with its opening point. The Average recorded a loss of 243.96.

In MSCD, %K (Yellow) computed as +66.91 (-56.50), %D (Red) +19.06 (-21.05) and the Histogram +63.50 (-3.91).

Technical Analysis
After today’s trade, both indicators hooked down and the Histogram printed its first shorter bar to trip its 3-week marching.

Market sentiment lost strength as buying support dampened by continuous profit taking. The shorter bar printed by the Histogram is a sign of market fatigue. Market needs more clearance of local issue as well as new stimulus from internally or externally. Meanwhile, market might take a short break to rebuild a stronger foundation.
