Sentiment Index - Malaysia Stock Market

Constructed and Written by Smartbiz

Local sentiment opened in extreme bad shape with the Intraday Oscillator started at -2,114 points in half an hour’s trade. However, the Oscillator gradually recouped most of the losses and ended at its day-high at -741.35; gained 1,372.93 when compares with its opening point. The Average recorded a loss of 1,379.20 due to sharp losses at opening.

In MSCD, %K (Yellow) computed as -435.71 (-171.48), %D (Red) -303.25 (-86.11) and the Histogram -117.45 (-3.75).

MSCD - Technical Analysis

After today’s trade, both indicators slide deeper in the red and the Histogram prints its first longer bar after five gaining sessions.

Eventually, the round-bottoming process of the Histogram was halted by a longer negative bar signaling the reversal of the uptrend pattern. Market was plagued by renew fears of high oil prices and slower growth. However, it is felt that news-driven low-liners such as Nicorp, TMS, Tebrau and Silver etc will steal the lime light from central stage.
