Sentiment Index - Malaysia Stock Market

Constructed and Written by Smartbiz

Market started in cheerfully mood but enthusiasm was fast to recede after comments from an executive at mining giant BHP Billiton Ltd. that Chinese demand growth was slowing. The Oscillator slid deep into the red to end off low at -557.93; lost -1,316.04 when compares with its opening point. The Average recorded a loss of 427.00.

In MSCD, %K (Yellow) computed as -242.69 (-33.50), %D (Red) -234.36 (-15.42) and the Histogram -23.26 (+3.73).

Technical Analysis

After today’s trade, both indicators fell slightly deeper but the Histogram continued its round-bottoming processing.

Market sentiment remains in hopeful reversal albeit %K fell slightly below %D. The perception will only be altered after the Histogram fails to complete its round-bottoming process and both indicators return to below the resistance-turned-support line.
