Local sentiment failed to sustain its positive opening but retreated into the red due to lack of support. The Oscillator slid deep into the red to end at -886.54; lost 977.59 when compares with its opening point. The Average recorded a loss of 550.07.
In MSCD, %K (Yellow) computed as -351.50 (-36.09), %D (Red) -290.45 (-20.78) and the Histogram -28.19 (-8.21).
After today’s trade, both indicators moved lower and the Histogram continued to print yet another longer bar in the negative zone.Market sentiment was confirmed as bearish as %K has fallen below the support and volume decreased significantly compared with its record of 3. 59 billion shares last Wednesday. Analysts referred the U-Turn to the approaching of the General Election based on Najib’s vocal hints amidst China’s slower growth. The uncertainty of the result of the GE scared investors and preferred to trim their holdings.
However, syndicates might take this opportunity to fry up certain selected counters to draw the crowd. But, this is out of anybody's intelligence.
