Sentiment Index - Malaysia Stock Market

Local sentiment lost strength again as profit taking set in shortly after the opening bell. However, most Asian stock markets were modestly higher today. The Intraday Sentiment Oscillator ended at -648.74; lost 852.05 when compares with its opening point. The Average recorded a loss of 463.76.

In MSCD, %K (Yellow) computed as -334.49 (-23.50), %D (Red) -280.23 (-14.69) and the Histogram -14.49 (-9.94).

After today’s market, both key indicators slid slightly and the Histogram printed yet another negative bar.

Market sentiment was plagued by both internal and external issues and continued to trend downwards. Whether market sentiment will stabilize or not depends very much on the outcome of the 428 Protest.

Meanwhile, investors were mostly taking cautious stance in trade but no panic was seen.
