Sentiment Index - Malaysia Stock Market

Constructed and written by Smartbiz

Local sentiment gradually retreated from positive opening with the Intraday Sentiment Oscillator slid into the red in the afternoon session. However, last hour buying lifted it to end at +121.99; lost 247.96 when compares with its opening point. The Average recorded a gain 136.89.

In MSCD, %K (Yellow) computed as -155.66 (+53.17), %D (Red) -196.71 (+26.70), %A -197.18 (+12.61) and the Histogram +13.16 (+6.97).

(Note: 100MA has been replaced by %A which is actually 54EMA. %A is a more dynamic indicator to gauge the mid-term sentiment movement.)

After today’s market, both key indicators hooked up and %K stayed above %A. The Histogram printed its third positive bar.

Market sentiment recovered today with some cautious buying but remains vulnerable to external issues. The trend cannot be confirmed as %D is staying below %A.
