Sentiment Index - Malaysia Stock Market

Constructed and written by Smartbiz

Local sentiment reversed to negative tone again as regional markets slumped on European concerns and Japanese market lost nearly two percents. The Intraday Sentiment Oscillator opened in negative zone and slid to end at -415.20; lost 151.61 when compares with its opening point. The Average recorded a loss of 381.65.

In MSCD, %K (Yellow) computed as -344.88 (-6.68), %D (Red) -333.11 (-3.88), %A (Pink) -283.87 (-3.69) and the Histogram -55.38 (+10.90).

After today’s market, all line indicators edged slightly lower but the Histogram continued to print a shorter negative bar to process its round bottoming. %K stayed below %D and failed to return to the wedge pattern channel.

Chart shows market sentiment has some improvement but the weak base is vulnerable to adverse issue. Any impact will promote more selling and wipes out all positive readings in the chart.
