Conclusion: Asian markets closed lower in quiet trading before the X’mas holiday. Both Japan and Hong Kong opened for trade for only half a day. Japan was down by 2.37%, Hong Kong 0.26% but Singapore up by 0.72%.

Local market was also quiet with volume only about 190 mln shares. KLCI slid to as low as 865.26. Again, the last half an hour buying pushed the Index to 869.62 lost 1.54.

The broader market indicator, MSO, fell as low as -55.27 but again, the last half an hour buying pushed it to end at -21.81.

Investors were lack of confidence amid volatile global market. Also, few people wanted to take position before a series of holidays.
