Asian stock markets retreated from early rally as investors keep wary eyes on North Korea’s nuclear test. The move by North Korea came out of the blue, and it introduces geopolitical risk into the equation again, an analyst said. At the break, Japan market edged up 1.09%, Hong Kong down 0.58% and Singapore up 0.30%.Bursa Malaysia followed regional markets moved higher this morning but also retreated towards the break. KLCI surged to 1,053.16 and ended at 1,050.69 gained 5.43 pts or 0.52%.
The Intra-Day Sentiment Oscillator was resilient and stayed in positive zone for the whole morning. However, volume was seen shrinking again as KLCI traded lower. The oscillator finished at +925.64 gained 326.01 points when compares with the starting point at +599.63. Volume increased by 401 mln shares to 1,029 mln shares when compares with Friday’s break.
