No Acquisition Plan For UMW On Ramunia (OSK)

UMW had no plans to buy into Ramunia as reported recently. UMW Group Managing Director Datuk Abdul Halim in a telephone interview said, “We have just established our fabrication operations. We want to focus on growing that for now,” In a reply to a Bursa Malaysia query yesterday, UMW confirmed that it had no intention to compete with Sime Darby and make an offer for Ramunia, It also confirmed that it was not in discussion to buy Ramunia.
