Salcon gets RM94m contract (ext: Edge)

Salcon Bhd'S unit Salcon Engineering Bhd has secured a RM94.31 million project from Medini Iskandar Malaysia Sdn Bhd for the proposed construction of infrastructure works in Iskandar Malaysia.

The company said on May 21 the contract sum for the project was RM94.31 million and the duration was 67 weeks from the date of site possession.

"The project is expected to contribute positively to the earnings or net assets of Salcon Group for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2009 and 2010," it said.

Salcon added that it did not foresee any exceptional risk other than operational risk associated with the project.
