It said on Friday its unit, Metronic Engineering Sdn Bhd had received a letter of acceptance from MRT Corp for the MRT project, stretching from Sungai Buloh to Kajang.
Metronic Gobal said the scope of the work would be to undertake and complete the engineering, procurement, construction, testing & commissioning of the building management system on a design and build basis.
"The project shall commence on Nov 8, 2012 and the completion period is July 31, 2017 (55) months from the date of the letter of award," it said.
Smartbiz: MTronic's price stuck in tight range for nearly two weeks. Its price failed to break through immediate resistance at 0.125 in two attempts. The announcement of this new contract should give a boost to its price. Resistances are existing almost at gapes of every half a sen. As this is a loss-making company, the upswing might not be sustainable.
