Conclusion: Stocks slumped on concern bank losses will increase and corporate profits will crumble as the recession spreads. Index Future also falls. Today, Japan fell a hefty 6.89%, Hong Kong 4.04% and Singapore 3.10%.

Local market tumbled immediately after the morning bell with KLCI slipped as deep as 19 points. The Index finally regained some strength and closed at 865.32 lost 12.33 pts or 1.40%. Its supports are now at 858 then 853.

MSO fell deep to -463.15 but managed to edge higher to -348.98 due to last minute buying. Volume also increased from 1.89 mln to 3.23 mln per minute within the last 15 minutes of trading.

Tomorrow should be quiet after a stormy day.
