Malaysia Market - Mid-Day Comments

12:30 Asian stocks tumbled as Dow Jones down by more than 400 points last night. Japan fell sharply by 5.48%, Hong Kong 5.40% and Singapore 3.49%.

KLCI slipped and settled at 860.97 lost 17.11 pts or 1.95%.

Market sentiment trod KLCI’s steps and sliding to its lowest point at -329.62. Volume increased significantly from 1.08 mln to 1.67 mln per minute during the last 10 minutes of trading. Investors were upset and lightened their holdings after seeing the weaknesses of the markets.
