Inari Bhd, an electronic manufacturing services (EMS) provider, is projecting revenue to grow by three times once its bid for Amertron Inc (Global) Ltd, an optoelectronic company, for US$32 million (RM100.8 million) is completed.
For the financial year ending June 31, 2012, the group expects to record a revenue of US$60 million (RM189 million). Based on this estimate, Inari hopes to triple its revenue to US$180 million (RM567.3 million) upon the completion of the acquisition.
The acquisition will also see Inari diversify its business from the radio frequency industry primarily and into optoelectronics, which include infra-red, fibre optics, smart displays and light emitting diode products.
The group yesterday also inked an agreement with Amertron Global, a Cayman Islands-incorporated company, for the proposed acquisition of the latter.
Through this acquisition, Inari is a step closer to becoming a multinational EMS player by leveraging on Amertron's expertise and manufacturing facilities in the Philippines and China.
